Course Description:

This 2-hour draw from concealment course picks up where the initial classroom lecture and classroom / force options simulator workshop left off. During this section of the intermediate draw from concealment course, we will begin with a brief review of the first course and we will continue to focus on and improve on the basic 5 count draw from concealment.

Class 505, utilizes live-fire training on the firearms range.  All drawing from the holster is done in a safe, controlled manner under direct supervision of certified firearms instructors.  Students will need to bring their own firearm, ammunition, and a strong side holster, worn on the belt.  No cross-draw or small of the back holsters will be permitted.  Students will also need to wear concealment garments, preferably button up cover shirt/Vest/Jacket.  Ammunition is available for purchase in the store.  Prerequisite for this course will be successful completion of courses 501-503.

Course Objectives:

The objective of this course is to practice and improve on the 5-count draw from concealment, controlled environment under the direct supervision of a certified firearms instructor. By the end of this course, the student should have a basic understanding and proficiency in safely drawing a pistol from concealment.

LEGAL UPDATE

2024 CCW Changes

Due to Governor Newsom signing into Law SB2; beginning January 1, 2024, CCW training requirement hours have increased.

The training for the Initial CCW has increased from 8 hours to 16 hours.

The CCW Renewal training has increased from 4 hours to 8 hours.

The "108 - Renewal or Initial Part 2" - 8hr CCW course will fulfill the requirements for a CCW Renewal, as well as provide 8 hours of the required 16 hours for an Initial CCW.

The remaining 8 hours required for the Initial CCW can be fulfilled by completing the "110 - CCW Initial Part 1" course.  At this time we do not offer a modular CCW.
