Course Description:
This 2-hour draw from the holster course picks up where the initial classroom lecture and classroom / force options simulator workshop (401) left off. During this second part of the basic draw from the holster, we will begin with a brief review of the first course and we will continue to focus on and improve on the basic 5 count draw from the holster techniques.
Again class 402, utilizes the training simulator and there will be no Live Firearms or ammunition in this course as it is a classroom only. All drawing from the holster is done in a controlled manner with unloaded or simulated firearms. Students will need to bring an unloaded firearm, no ammunition and a strong side holster, worn on the belt. There is no need for concealment during this course. No cross-draw or small of the back holsters will be permitted.
Course Objectives:
The objective of this course is to introduce the student to the 5-count draw in a safe, secure, environment to become comfortable with drawing a firearm from a holster before moving to the Firearms Range with live Ammunition.
Materials Required: No materials required by the student.
This is a prerequisite for course 403
